Disabled Transition Assistance Program (DTAP): Briefing provides specialized information about the Dept. of Veterans Affairs’ Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment program (VR&E).

Entrepreneurship Track (Boots to Business): Two-day class where attendees will acquire the tools and knowledge needed to identify a business opportunity, draft a plan, and launch their enterprise. Spouses are encouraged to attend. Career Technical Training Track: Two-day class for Transitioning military members to learn to identify career opportunities, define technical career goals and identify required credentials. Also, members will discover local Veteran resources and learn how to utilize VA education benefits. Transition Higher Education Track: Two-day class for Transitioning military members. Receive an overview of the GI Bill, learn about the types of federal student aid, federal and private student loans, grants and scholarships, state aid, the admissions process, programs of study, required admissions tests, and more. Talking while Deployed: Members will receive tips on effective communication using social media, instant messenger, e-mail and phone conversations. Also having to cope with communication with deployed personnel. Hearts Apart/ EFMP- Spa Day on Us: Members will enjoy a Spa Day on us! Each person will receive a minimanicure, a make over, a three course meal, and a massage. This FREE event is for all qualified EFMP and Deployed families in the DMV area.
