Now that physical meetings are restarting and the cycle of the Masonic year is returning to something like normality, the Learning and Development team is starting to work on ways in which we can continue to support all brethren, but particularly our newer members, to learn more about and derive more satisfaction from their membership.

We are planning to hold another of our 21st Century lodge demonstrations early in the New Year, to showcase how meetings can be streamlined to deal with some of the less interesting administration in as efficient manner as possible - leaving more time for our main ceremonies and Festive Boards.

There will also be a “Beyond the Craft Fayre” to be held at Kings Heath Centre on Tuesday 22nd March to showcase some of the other Orders in Freemasonry, so that members can widen their experience and understanding. There will also be an opportunity at that event to meet some of the members of the many Clubs and Societies which we have in the Province, ranging from Golf to Clay Pigeon shooting, motorbiking and Classic cars. So please save the date.

Finally do keep checking out the Solomon website for new and interesting papers and articles on Freemasonry - especially the 5 minute nuggets which can be used at Lodge meetings as a focal point to encourage interest in various aspects of our Order without taking up too much valuable time.

I do wish you all a very Happy Christmas with your families and look forward to seeing many of you in the New Year.
