New Director of Parts and Service Operations Nick Sansone building a successful, winning culture. Nick Sansone has a lot of experience working in the automotive industry. He has worked throughout New England, Florida and Colorado and has seen car shopping habits from many perspectives. His latest sights are to make his new home at Toyota of Smithfield a model of excellence.

After working at the Berlin City Auto in the Greater Portland area, including NH and VT markets, for the past nine years, Nick began his new position about one month ago. His business relationship with Toyota of Smithfield General Manager John Durrani helped make this transition seamless. The duo worked together in various capacities in Maine and Vermont.

That partnership strengthened once the opportunity to work together in Rhode Island surfaced. Sansone’s goal is having his 35- employee staff embrace and execute his vision.

“Our number one focus is our customers,” Sansone said. “I want to empower the team and have them succeed based on teamwork and working toward achieving a common goal.”

Sansone credits his own success to his core values: honesty, integrity, caring, teamwork, excellence and quality. Those virtues have served him well in the industry. In his new role, Sansone wants to create a culture of a competitive environment. That said, his primary goal is having a “team first” approach to ensuring everyone contributes and shares in their success.

As for the transition from Northern New England to Smithfield, Sansone said there isn’t much of a difference concerning purchasing vehicles. “People are people. Portland is as close to a metropolitan city as Boston and is a beautiful city. Their buying habits aren’t that far different from here or anywhere else I’ve worked,” he said.

The dealership will hold its monthly private sale. This month’s event takes place on August 28-29 from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM by appointment only. Those who attend will be expected to follow social guidelines but also have access to their inventory. Managers will be there to answer questions and offer additional incentives.

The Dealership’s Peace of Mind Purchase Process means no hassles over pricing, trade-in values, cash back and rebate incentives offered up front and the best available leasing and financing terms up front. Durrani said this is just part of the all-around, customer-driven experience he implemented to ensure the process does not get bogged down in miscommunication. Schedule an appointment by calling them at 401-723-0962 or on their website at www.toyotaofsmithfield.com.
