y Mighty Fortress,

Thank You for giving me a magnificent wife who follows Your Son so faithfully. Assist her to continue going after Him, to deny herself and take up her cross and follow Him. May she not strive to save her life and so lose it, but let her lose her life for Jesus’ sake so that she might find it. O beloved, what will it profit you if you gain the whole world and forfeit your life? Or what shall you give in return for your life? For the Son of man is going to come with His angels in the glory of His Father, and then He will repay you according to what you have done. Therefore, Father, cause her to continually consider Christ as more precious than life itself. For indeed He is! Remind her that unless she turns and becomes like a child, she will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Help her to constantly humble herself like a child, for such who do so are greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Amen (Matthew 16 & 18).

i All hell is vanquished when the believer bows his knee in importunate supplication. Beloved brethren, let us pray. We cannot all argue, but we can all pray; we cannot all be leaders, but we can all be pleaders; we cannot all be mighty in rhetoric, but we can all be prevalent in prayer. I would sooner see you eloquent with God than with men. Prayer links us with the Eternal, the Omnipotent, the Infinite, and hence it is our chief resort. . . . Be sure that you are with God, and then you may be sure that God is with you. ~Charles Spurgeon Water of the Word 133
