Market Street Originals OBJECTIVE: To create a brand of hyper-exclusive and made in-house products through packaging design, signage, and an overall localized visual identity.
After doing initial research around the Market Street store, the logo was created to pay homage to the most memorable piece of interior dĂŠcor in the store. Looking at other package designs, there was a desire to
incorporate isolated product images to give the customer a preview of the product. Expanding the product line to exclusive features and supporting signage made Market Street Originals a stand-alone brand.

What’s Inside:
3 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/8 teaspoon salt 1 1/2 cups white sugar
What You Need:
1 cup butter, softened 2 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
Directions:
Empty the contents of the jar into a large bowl. Cut in 1 cup of softened butter until the mixture is crumbly. In a separate bowl, beat 2 eggs, 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1/2 teaspoon of lemon extract until light and fluffy. Pour into the dry ingredients and mix until well blended. Cover bowl and chill for 1 hour. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out to 1/4 inch in thickness. Cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters. Place cookies 1 1/2 inches apart onto cookie sheets. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven, until edges begin to brown. You can decorate them with sugar before baking of frost after baking. Makes 2 dozen.

Chinese New Year 2013 Toolkit OBJECTIVE: To create a visual identity for the NorCal region celebrating Chinese New Year within the guidelines of the war propaganda inspired Winter 2013 toolkit.
An abundance of research went into this venture, focusing on the history of Chinese New Year, cultural color meanings of the holiday, and the ways the Chinese culture celebrated particular cultural values. With
the Winter 2013 toolkit as a backing, a graphic novel inspired toolkit emerged that was dynamic, exciting, and most importantly paid homage to a traditional holiday using a modern aesthetic.

Ocean Avenue’s 1st Birthday Toolkit OBJECTIVE: To create a memorable visual identity celebrating the first anniversary of Whole Foods Market Ocean that reflected the fun and whimsy of California beach boardwalks.
It was very important to have this anniversary toolkit reflect a lighthearted and memorable mood. A color palette reminiscent of both cotton candy and the California sunset began to tell the story. A logo in
the style of boardwalk ride signs gave the identity a face. Lastly, combining carnival-themed graphic assets and typographic layouts helped bring full-circle whimsy to Ocean’s first birthday.

Potrero Hill 4th Birthday Toolkit OBJECTIVE: To give a visual identity to Whole Foods Market Potrero Hill’s carnival-themed 4th Birthday Party.
Researching the history of the Potrero Hill neighborhood and honing in on its importance to the nearby port-driven commerce led to a boardwalk start. Expanding upon the carnival aesthetic led to going
towards a big tent circus theme. A vintage mood helped celebrate the history of Potrero Hill while giving a specific feel that stayed true to the big tent theme.

San Francisco Pride 2012 Toolkit OBJECTIVE: To create a toolkit that would adequately represent Whole Foods Market in the biggest LGBT Pride celebration in the world.
A common sector of in the LGBT lifestyle that has been consistent throughout its history is the importance of nightlife, which became the central focus of the “Fresh Beets� campaign. Iconography of different
music playing devices were paired with different fruits and vegetables. Lastly, a beet fashioned into a disco ball and adorned with rainbow leaves became the central symbol of a very memorable campaign.

The Last Five Years OBJECTIVE: To create advertisements for The Poor Man’s Players production of The Last Five Years, a musical about the failed marriage of two people told in chronological and reverse chronological order.
Using the works of Helen Frankenthaler as a required inspiration, a poster series and show program were created after the director was left unhappy with another designer’s attempt. The sky at different times of
day was used as the over arching symbol of the chronological aspect of the play. The show program was fashioned as a wedding invitation with und to further tie in the story line.

Over time a few different graphic tee designs needed to be made to help promote the different facets of Snuba International. The goal of each tee was to communicate the experience associated with each
