Visual Standards introduction Airwalk’s new brand identity is based off the 3 key ideas of rebellion, adventure and community. As the new identity is developed, the visual standards guide helps us to define the parameters of use and ways to present the brand to keep our mission and core values in tact. KEYWORDS & PHRASES

New Logo brand signature Our new logo harkens back to the triangular shape of the original Airwalk logo’s A. In the spirit of rebellion and Airwalk’s community of non-conformity, we used the anarchy symbol as an inspiration for the shape of the A inside the triangle. The letters in the word mark are built off the shape and dimensions of the triangle.

Typography fonts & usage The following fonts are used throughout all Airwalk print and media materials. Do not use any other fonts when preparing materials for the Airwalk brand.
CAECILLA LT PRO Caecilia™ is a slab-serif typeface created by Dutch designer Peter Matthias Noordzij. He made the first sketches for this slab serif design in 1983 during his third year of study in The Hague, and the full font family was released by Linotype in 1990. Caecilia is his wife’s name. This font has subtle variations of stroke thickness, a tall x-height, open counters, and vivacious true italics. Noordzij combined classical ductus with his own contemporary expression to create a friendly and versatile slab serif family. With numerous weights from light to heavy, and styles including small caps, Old style figures, and Central European characters, Caecilia has all the elements necessary for rich typographic expression.
ROBOTO Roboto is a neo-grotesque sans-serif typeface family developed by Google as the system font for its mobile operating system Android, and released in 2011 for Android 4.0 “Ice Cream Sandwich”. The entire font family has been licensed under the Apache license. In 2014, Roboto was redesigned for Android 5.0 “Lollipop”.

Closing A New Brand Identity The process of developing a new brand identity starts with understanding the brand and their soul. Once you have true understanding of the company, it's history, and it's mission, the process can begin. The three books in this series document that process as we re-branded Airwalk. This final book of three has taken Airwalk's new identity and created guidelines to stay true to the mission and soul of the brand. Finally it presents 18 potential brand extensions that further the evolution and solidify the future of the new Airwalk re-brand.
