Dear SCCS Family

As I write this note regarding the 2020-2021 academic year we find ourselves still facing the challenges of a global pandemic with no clear end in sight. I confess it does make it a little harder to feel the joy that I usually feel in drafting it. But as I think back I realize that the words of John 1 verse 5 remain true “the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it!”

Indeed the light of Jesus continues to shine and we are pleased to have been able to par tner with you over the past year. We praise God that were able to keep our doors open. These days are a reminder of how much we tre asure the simple joy of being together with the families that God has brought to SCCS.

grader with a Bible to celebrate the next step they will take into Logic school. As they received their bible, Mrs. Jones told them that these Bibles are able to “For tify their souls with the ever-flowing waters of wisdom”. You help make that happen. It really was an exciting year and we know there is more to come.

We were also amazed at how God blessed us financially. We launched the annual Flour ish Fund and even with the pandemic we were able to exceed our goal. In the Sprin g we held our Gala and exceeded our g oal again! We are so thankful for your ongoing suppor t and God’s faithful provision.

In John chapter 16 Jesus says “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take hear t! I have overcome the world.”

Thanks to your generosity and commitment to Classical Christian education in Seattle we were able to add three new director level staff. We were also able to continue to build the foundation for our Rhetoric school which will launch next year.

We rejoice in the work of continuing to build SCCS and to ser ve the families of Seattle and we can rejoice even during challenging times because Jesus has overcome and His light still shines. On behalf of our board, staff, students and parents, thank you for being a valuable par t of the SCCS family and for helping us to share the peace of Jesus and the joy of learning with the children of Seattle.

During our 6th Grade Promotion ceremony, Mrs. Jones presented each 6th

In Christ, Jason Brantley, Board President
