molinosangregorio The aim is to return the Cascina to its inhabitants. The research focused on the potential of this space, the Cascina is an example of architecture typical of the Pianura Padana. The commitments expressed the desire of apartments for homeless families. The project seeks to meet the demands trying to network within the system of the Cascinas of the Parco Lambro and the neighborhood. The project is a conservation project, is a project of re-use, in which the new coexists and interacts with the old. So the effort at the design phase was the preservation of the Cascina, enriching and integrating that ensure its wide usability. One of the aim is sustainability, we tried to recover the constructive logics, especially helium orientation, and the specificity of the site.

The project revolves around the configuration of “courtyard delimited by the mill buildings that are characterized by different functions and become public space. The perimeter of the mill is open and return back to the Parco Lambro. The idea is to take the opportunity to create a living and productive model that is self-sustaining both economically and energetically. Also on the grounds of Mill we planned to reactivate agriculture and fruit cultivation and farmed animal in the farmyard. thesis,July 21, 2009

molinosangregorio The idea is to reopen to the Cascina Molino San Gregorio to the neighborhood and make it public space. Three courtyards have been identified: The courtyard of the exchange that is the courtyard of production, where trade takes place and the first opportunities for interaction among the inhabitants of the mill and the district center are the market and the osteria. The courtyard of the passage, the more public courtyard of the mill is centered around the bike box and the osteria and play area. The courtyard of the meeting, more intimate and not passing, it is suitable to the knowledge between the different temporary inhabitants of the mill.

chinese restaurant wang jiao 1 The idea was to create a Chinese restaurant different from the imaginary, recovering some typical elements of Chinese culture, avoiding clichĂŠs. A place where you can meet Italian and Chinese people eating together and sharing good food. The image of the restaurant is the typical way of eating the Chinese: outside their homes, sitting on baskets and lights hanging from the trees, is the attempt to introduce this moment of sociality in Milan. The concept is to maintain a continuity between inside and outside so that people are encouraged to enter. And as if he had come here by chance, as the market and you decide to stop eating fresh food sitting on what you find in the street. The white color is used to smooth and brighten the environment than other Chinese restaurants, are used to illuminate the space simple light bulbs of various sizes hung with strings of colored cord. Finally, the wall built with bricks exposed concrete thought of as scenic space for bottles of wine. The materials used in the project are simple and cheap construction materials but revisited. giuliaUrciuoli a r c h i t e t t o
