Clara had never imagined that a library could have a door to a different world. It’s Story Land, where people buy and sell things by paying with stories, instead of money, and where everyone can make their dreams come true by using the power of their imagination.
Max is a magic artist. Mr Grunt visits Max to ask him to paint many portraits of himself. Mr Grunt wants to talk to them because he feels lonely. Max will use different artistic styles and will manage to paint seven completely different portraits of Mr Grunt.

Children will learn how to use different tools to invent their own stories and will review and practise the use of synonyms and antonyms. It is written as a play, so children can set up a theatre stage and act it out with their classmates.

Activities
• Working in teams to set up a story market inspired in the one that we have read about in Story Land. • We will encourage our students to write stories that follow the limitations imposed by the rules of the game, but at the same time do it in a fun and creative way.
• By using the picture frame provided in the photoco piable material, or making some other frames using paint and card, each child will prepare six drawings for the big exhibition. All the drawings have to repre sent the same scene, but using different styles. • The pupils will prepare fancy dress costumes inspired by one of the seven personalities of the portraits of Mr Grunt.
