Saluki Dogs

Arabian Salukis are one of the oldest breeds of domesticated dogs in the world and are well-known for their excellent speed, intelligence, stamina and loyalty to their handlers. Salukis, named after the Bani Saluk tribe of Yemen, belong to the sighthound family, which hunts by sight rather than smell.

The hounds and falcons accompanied the Bedouins in harsh desert conditions to find food. Falcons spot the target and hover over them for the Salukis to chase and catch the prey. This can be found on our Saluki and Falcon Show, only at Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara.
