Processing Proposal

Proposed is a concept based around the promotional materials for the Processing events. The idea being a transparent poster, most probably printed on acetate, allowing for the poster to take its background from any given material behind, making endless possibilities of the overall aesthetic of the poster - similar to the endless possibilities and metarials, which Processing can use and work with. The design of the poster takes influence from the mark making and linear art that Processing can produce, whilst looking at the cross over between print and digital. Variations of this acetate imagery could also offer branding during the event.

The exhibtion catalogue for the event, has a cover (FIG 04) which could feature the work produced during the workshop, they are proposed as duotone versions in the printed equivalent version of RGB blue and red, again looking at the cross over between print and digital. The main concept for the catalogue, follows a level of consistency from promtoional posters, with acetate pages. These are allow to add a level of depth to the pages (FIG 03), which is then removable to reveal the full piece of work, and perhaps close ups. The mark making on the acetate could be a digital linear file, as opposed to the photographic image below of the final piece.

A promotional or exhibtion stlye website could also be produced, showcasing or promoting the event. This would have a very similar aesthetic to the catalogue, using contemporary layout and RGB red and blue. The logo and text information would be in a fixed position, whilst the images would scroll through behind. These could link out to other pages, to give further information on the piece of work and the artist.
