Coding for Veterans is a Tech Industry led initiative to help military veterans transition to jobs in the Canadian tech sector. What makes us different from any other program is that we focus on the job opportunities available and then work our way back to the individual veteran to ensure they have the necessary skills in order to succeed in the tech economy.
Our measurement of success is quite simply, the number of veterans who successfully transition in tech related jobs.
2 academic streams: Basic & advanced. • The basic level stream is typically for individuals who have introductory I.T. related skills. • the advanced stream is focused on military veterans who have a solid I.T. background and want to transition into I.T. sectors including cyber security and data analytics. • Once a person applies to the program, they complete an online assessment and based on the results begin their studies. Our advanced stream is taught online by the University of Ottawa and the basic stream is taught online by Seneca College.
