Summer 2017
Will You Pray?
As our Ozark family disperses into the nations over the summer months, they rely on the Holy Spirit and your prayers for strong backs, humble hearts, and gracious spirits. Your prayers demolish the strongholds they face, dissolve the anxieties that form in their minds, and demonstrate the presence of God in even the smallest details. We’re asking you to ask for promptings and clear moments of providence. We need each person covered. As they struggle, sacrifice, teach, rock babies, dig wells and build homes, our brothers and sisters will need the way paved for their hearts. Pray each heart is centered on the Father and illuminated by Christ until his light shines upon every one of God’s children who crosses the path of our Ozark family.
“We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. Golden, MO • 5/15/17–8/6/17 I will be serving with Kids Across America sports camp, telling kids about Jesus. • Pray that I would have endurance. • Pray that children will be able to come in spite of financial difficulties. • Pray for unity and peace among counselors and the leadership team.

Harare, Zimbabwe • 5/17/17–7/24/17 I will work with Foundations for Farming through TRAIN International as my internship for OCC credit. • Pray that I have the opportunity to share the gospel and that I speak through the Spirit. • Pray that I am able to learn from those around me. • Pray that I see God’s plan for my life in his kingdom more clearly.

Eminence, MO • 5/17/17–8/13/17 I will be working as a summer intern with Discovery Ministries, an outdoor/challenge ministry. • Ask God to draw the intern team close together in trust, fun, and godly friendship. • Ask God to grow seeds in the hearts of students that I meet. • Ask God to grow me in my pursuit of the path that he is guiding me on.

Cincinnati, OH • 5/20/17–8/9/17 I will intern with BLOC Ministries at a safe house for prostitutes and at-risk women. • Pray that I will be able to be bold and brave in sharing my faith. • Pray that I will be emotionally strong after hearing devastating stories of the women I meet. • Pray that I can stay connected to God.

Dominican Republic • 5/20/17–8/5/17 I will be interning with Blackbox International, helping to establish a sports therapy program. • Pray for protection during spiritual warfare. • Pray for endurance. • Pray for wisdom.
Steve Hayward
Papua New Guinea • 5/21/17–6/20/17 I will travel with PBT, encouraging the Tay church and continuing Bible translation ministry. • Pray that weather and plane schedules will allow me plenty of time with the Tay people. • Pray for wisdom about which scriptures and topics to share with the Tay people. • Pray that my visit will increase the motivation of the Tay to do evangelism in the surrounding area.

East Asia • 5/25/17–8/1/17 I will be teaching conversational English while interning with ELIC. • Pray that I will be a good influence on those I teach and not just an awkward tourist. • Pray that God would use this trip to give me direction for the future. • Pray that God will prepare the hearts of the people we will serve.

Athens, Greece • 5/27/17–7/27/17 I will intern with MTW, ministering to refugees and youth through children’s festivals. • Pray that the gospel would be communicated through our work and our love for the refugees. • Pray that I would be flexible and have a servant mindset. • Pray that the refugees would be receptive to God’s Word and would receive healing and comfort.

Quebec, Canada • 5/27/17–8/10/17 As an intern, I will travel Quebec serving local churches with JBEQ. • Pray that the gospel will be brought to the people of Quebec, an incredibly post-Christian place. • Pray that I and everyone on each team would grow closer to God. • Pray that I will adjust to the French language of Quebec.

East Africa • 5/27/17–8/7/17 I will intern with Pioneer Bible Translators. • Pray that I would be an encouragement to the on-field missionaries and my teammates. • Pray that I would continue to be grown and stretched by the Lord. • Pray that I would not be afraid, but instead be confident in what he is doing in this time in my life.

I will serve at a youth summer program and women’s Bible study in the Burmese community of Noel. • Pray that God will send more volunteers. • Pray that God will give wisdom how to do ministry there. • Pray for the people who are doing this ministry to discern God’s will.

West Indies & Canada • 6/2/17–6/9/17 & 7/9/17–7/31/17 I will be teaching with live Spanish translation, preaching at Double V-M Family Camp, and serving at a missions care facility. • Pray that I can be clear for the translator and edifying for the students. • Pray that we will bless the people of Canada with the Word and serve well at the missions house.

USA • 6/6/17–7/30/17 Frontline will go to camps and churches to worship with other Christians across the country. • Pray that we can be an encouragement to those in ministry. • Pray that we can grow deeper in relationship with God. • Pray that others will see the love of Jesus in us.

2017 Camp Teams
Our camp teams represent both Ozark and Jesus to kids throughout North America. Many other students will be working at camps across the nation. We know they can shine a great light this summer, but they need your prayers. Pray that they can be the hands and feet of Jesus in a suffering world. Pray that they will speak of Jesus often. Pray that they will look for opportunities and pray with many they meet. Pray that they will keep their eyes, ears and hearts open, posturing their minds to learn from the experience rather than assuming they have all the right answers.
