What is the fate of the property market?

Can you feel it? An unmistakable chill in the air subtly reminding you that winter has dawned upon us Days are getting cooler, but the property market on the other hand - is getting hotter.

Almost ubiquitously, the property market has continued to prosper across the Gold Coast and Northern Rivers, exhibiting a fervent demand from buyers who are attracted to the exceptional lifestyle the Gold Coast has to offer

Enquiry from interstate buyers, while high, was largely eclipsed by remarkably strong enquiry from South East Queensland, with considerable demand for beachfront properties comprising ocean or water views Through scrutiny and thorough evaluation of our buyers and their determining factors, the preference of property purchased was largely on luxurious homes offering minimal renovation and the ability to be ‘turnkey’ for any prospective buyer

Whilst there was an abundance of extremely motivated buyers, properties were tightly-held throughout the first six months of the year Core Logic data exhibited a decline in sales volume in contrast against that of the summer months, which was largely inevitable

This limited supply of homes meant buyers were forced to make competitive offers to secure high quality residences, which increased median sales prices throughout the first six months of the year Despite negative commentary surrounding the property market, as it pertains to heightened interest rates, the upper echelon of buyers continued to prove more resilient to these evolving conditions.

With a significantly exorbitant amount of capital vested within private sectors and local enterprises, our data showcases that premium sales can seamlessly be attained in this ever-changing market. This, of course, is alongside the strategic guidance of a Prestige Agent who is experienced through these remarkably diverse cycles.

Economically, closely observing the market has shown that the Gold Coast is performing considerably well despite what has been termed as an ‘economic downturn’ by some analysts With a solid tourism and job market driving one of the biggest population booms the city has ever experienced, there are a considerable amount of fervent buyers looking to purchase homes within this beachside nirvana With a low level of housing stock, prices are remaining stable.
