by amha-user
In the summer of 2021, the Akron Canton Regional Foodbank distributed Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) boxes to 373 residents in our elderly/ disabled buildings. In the winter of 2021, Direction Home and several other local agencies were able to distribute 1,934 Cabin Fever kits that contained coloring books, coloring pencils, non-perishable snacks, face masks, hand sanitizers, and numerous community resource brochures to our residents. For Thanksgiving 2021, Cleveland Clinic provided 444 Thanksgiving meals to Fowler and Belcher residents; right on time for the holidays! The distributions were coordinated by AMHA Resident Services Elderly and Disabled Team. We appreciate our community partners and volunteers who are continuing to provide needed supplies, services, and resources to our residents including Mobile Meals and the Summit County Prosecutor's Office.
The Resident Services Department helped to increase the stability of resdients by serving 4,081 resdients, including fullfilling 737 Requests fir Services and 832 Reasonable Accomodation Requests.
