Parents As Teachers

Parents as Teachers (PAT), a program offered through the Early Childhood Initiative, is an at-home visitation service where a low-cost activity is brought for the caregiver and child to do together, to promote parent engagement. Pictured left is 3 year old Kerieda, who crafted a picture to gift to her grandmother for Mother’s Day. Kerieda and her paternal Aunt began working with PAT when she was just 4 months old, and is more than thriving! She succeeds academically, socially and developmentally and will be enrolled in preschool in the fall. With the support of her family and PAT parent partner, Kerieda loves learning and looks forward to home visits and going to school.
