Digital rights management (DRM) uses technology to maintain and handle keys to copyrighted material. Another DRM purpose is taking control of digital content away from the individual who owns it and giving it over to a computer program. DRM seeks to cover the copyright holder's rights and control content from unauthorized distribution and transformation.
