POPPY BALSER Digby, Nova Scotia, Canada

“I embrace the role of documentarian as an artist. Not so much in looking back to paint what was, but by painting what is here now, knowing that in a few short years the “now” I am painting will be someone else’s historical record.”

Poppy Balser developed an early connection with the seashore as she studies the sea and its environs through her paintings. Her work painting the fishing industry of the Bay of Fundy, as well as her portrayal of local sailing ships, has earned her a place as a signature member of the American Society of Marine Artists. DAVID BOYD, JR Newnan, Georgia

“As a nod to my childhood memories as well as the passing of time, I want to preserve Southern American life in its current state of decay... ‘landscapes of rust.’”

David is a signature member of the Oil Painters of America and American Impressionist Society. He owns The Boyd Gallery in Newnan, GA and is the co-founder of The Studio School at Three Hearts Farm where he, his wife, Julie and children, Aila and David, live. Luke grew up in Indiana with a love for life, art, and nature that is evident in his nostalgic paintings. Most of Luke’s art education and influence came from training he received from his artist father Harold Buck.
