Freitag is a sans-serif typeface made out of basic geometric shapes like circles, straight lines, triangles and 90° angles. Because of the even weighted strokes there is no visible axis and no stress.

rhumn The stem of r,u,m,n has no extention over the shoulder. r,h,u,m,n contain parts of a same size circle.
CDGOQ C,D,G,O,Q are made out of the same circle. The finals of G & Q have an equal cut of 45 degrees.
AV The apex is pointed. This applies to A,V,W,N,M,v,w.
pq bd To improve readability p,q,d,b look alike but are not completly equal.
SSSSS sssss SSSSS sssss SSSSS Lowercase and uppercase S have the same shape but different sizes. The S is an independent letter.
k The leg of the upper- and lowercase K is detached from the stem. The K is an independent letter.
The bowls of c,o,p,d,e,q,b,a,g contain the same circle.
