Alternating Current (AC). An electric current that reverses its direction at regular recurring intervals. Alzheimer's Disease. A disease evidenced by a slow, continuous decline in intellectual function due to atrophy of frontal and occipital lobes. Memory, speech, and gait are also often affected as a result. Amplitude. The extent of a vibratory movement (as of a pendulum) measured from a mean position to an extreme; the maximum departure of the value of an alternating current or wave from the average value. Androgynous. Having characteristics of the nature of both male and female. Archetype. The original pattern of which all things of the same type are representations,- also an inherited idea or mode of thought in the psychology of C. G. Jung that is derived from the experience of the race and is present in the unconscious of the individual. Astral Plane. That level or realm of consciousness that bridges the dimensions of matter and spirit; the plane in which we dream; the body of the fourth chakra.
