Follow the below instructions for changing the ownership of the old navigation tool:

Connect the old device and log in to My TomTom. Choose ‘Account Details’.

If you are requested then enter the password.

Tap on ‘Change Username’ and then enter your another email address. You will be asked to enter the same email address again. Save the changes.

Click on ‘Change Password’. It is optional. Save the changes made.

Tap on the ‘Change Personal Details’ option. It is again optional. If you want to make changes in the personal information then you can pick this option. Save the changes made.

Click on ‘Logout’ option.

Detach the old navigation tool now.

Connect the new GPS device.

Move the mouse cursor towards the TomTom logo. Point at it and then tap on ‘Log in’.

Now, choose the ‘Account Details’ option. Sign in with your original email address and password.

k. From the panel select ‘Connected device is not linked to this account’. Tap on ‘Link the connected device to this account’. Now follow the directions appearing on the screen.

After following the above instructions, you can see the updates available; install the software and then maps. You can also fix the speed cameras. This process won’t let you to transfer the details from old device to new device. So, it is advised to remove all the personal data from your tool before selling it.
