Packaging Materials


Whether you are in food business, technology industry or clothes manufacturing,

packaging is

important. It safeguards the product from all kinds of damage, which may otherwise make the product or item useless.


Foam is used for packaging TVs, gadgets, glass, furniture and all other things that have sharp edges. In fact, foam in Sydney, Auckland and many other cities are used for this purpose in bulk. They are custom made to ensure that they fit the product perfectly.


Aluminum is appropriate for packaging

foods (canned foods). For drinks, such as soft drinks and beers, aluminium is often used. Aluminium is attractive, light strong at the same time, but requires a lot of raw materials energy to make it. For this reason it must be recycled.


Glass is used for preserving foods like

honey and jams and can be recycled. It is even used for consumable goods like beer, wine and sodas. Although glass is fragile, it is used widely across all the industries.


Plastic is the most common packaging material and, at the same time,

one of the most difficult to dispose of. The factors common to all plastics are that they are light, strong cheap to manufacture. Almost 10% of our rubbish consists of different types of plastic. They are a problem in landfills as they are bulky, they contaminate degrade slowly.


Brick carton It is a light, strong air-tight

packaging material made up of several layers of plastic, paper ,aluminium. Its complex composition makes it difficult to recycle. It is becoming the main packaging material for basic foodstuffs. It is used mainly to keep drinks such as milk, juice, etc.


Cardboard is Appropriate for packaging

materials wrapping. Its use may prove to be unnecessary when used for products which are already packaged sufficiently but is very useful. It is used in the form of boxes, sheets corrugated cardboard. In all cases, it is highly recyclable.
