MESSAGE FROM AMC’S PRESIDENT
The agricultural manufacturing sector continues to demonstrate resilience, innovation, and a growing global footprint—and trade remains at the heart of that story. At the Agricultural Manufacturers of Canada (AMC), we know that building strong, reliable trade relationships is essential to the success of our members and the long-term strength of the Canadian agricultural manufacturing industry. Whether it’s across provinces or across oceans, AMC is committed to advancing policies and partnerships that open doors and drive sustainable growth.
Our advocacy efforts are focused on reinforcing these opportunities, ensuring that Canadian manufacturers have a voice at the table when it comes to trade policy, cross-border logistics, and international market access. With shifting global dynamics and increasing demand for sustainable ag technology, AMC continues to work closely with government and industry leaders to reduce trade barriers and expand the reach of Canadian innovation.
We saw firsthand the power of connection and innovation at our 2024 AMC Expo and Trade Show, held in November at the Barrett Centre for Technology Innovation in Etobicoke, Ontario. The event brought together manufacturers, students, and industry experts for two days of learning, showcasing, and networking. From our Hackathon to hands-on tours and in-depth sessions on automation, AI, and data security, the Expo offered a glimpse into the future of our industry—one where collaboration and education are key.
That momentum continues as we look ahead to GRIT: AMC’s Annual Convention, taking place June 4–5, 2025, in Edmonton, Alberta. GRIT is more than a name—it’s a reflection of the determination, creativity, and strength that define our members. This year’s convention will offer powerful keynotes, panel discussions, and networking opportunities, all centered around the shared goal of building a stronger, more connected ag manufacturing sector in Canada and beyond. We invite all members to join us in Edmonton for what promises to be an inspiring and impactful event.
At the core of our vision for the future is the Careers in Ag initiative. Through partnerships with leading post-secondary institutions and our innovative Mobile Skills Lab, AMC is helping shape the next generation of industry professionals. By providing students with access to real-world experience and exposure to the latest technologies, we’re ensuring that the future of agricultural manufacturing is in capable hands.
