c. “Value Capture” a key component of Smart city projects

Smart City Corporations after building an asset for its citizens, need to capture value from the asset (public infrastructure or service project) which it created. The value capture mechanism is currently utilized in ICT service projects. The further sections of the report will detail out key projects such as ICT services and urban connectivity implemented in various smart cities. The later part of the report will elaborate on “Value Capture” mechanism employed by smart city and innovative financing mechanisms smart city may employ.
