Who is AKD AKD have been in operation in WA since 2004, and combined, have many years of business and related experience, between the top management. We are located in Wangara which is central to most of the suppliers to the cabinet trade. This is very good for logistical reasons. Our main operation revolves around the design, manufacture and installation of all types of cabinetry for kitchens, bathrooms, laundries and all related items, as well as special furniture, be it residential, commercial or new developments. We are definitely not the biggest in the industry, but surely one of the best, and we pride ourselves in that. Basic Kitchen Design for Customer
Dealing with larger contracts such as the Sir Charles Gairdner Cancer Care Hospital, much of the furniture was redesigned by AKD in collaboration with the architects for practicality and logistical reasons.
Projects Sir Charles Gairdner Cancer Care Hospital. The SCGH was a huge challenge to AKD as the architect’s expectations were very high, and the materials used in this project, is not often seen together in the same project. Special custom designed furniture such as beds and chairs were designed and manufactured. AKD managed to cross all the barriers and clear all the hurdles, to finish this project in time and with the highest level of quality. We have had many accolades for our workmanship and expertise as shown during this project.
