A MATTER OF LIFE OR DEATH
Who do you admire? Is there someone you look up to as a role model? How about when you were young? Remember that person you wanted to be like? I do. I recall imagining I was a famous baseball player. I remember wondering what it would be like to be a great hitter like Dodger player Eric Karros or pitching shut-out innings like Orel Hershiser. Who is it for you? Maybe you admired a parent, a pro athlete, a teacher, a great musician or singer or even the president. Now that I am an adult with my own child, I may not dream of playing baseball or being a brave police officer, but my admiration for specific role models hasn't changed. Today I look up to people who serve in our military to protect our freedom and public servants who defend the innocent. I suppose it's because I admire people who
