Overwhelmingly, training on eTwinning is the one thing that teachers would like to see more of in schools Curriculum Management and eLearning Department Directorate for Quality and Standards in Education Ministry for Education and Employment

• 56% requested more technical sessions on the use of eTwinning tools • 47% would like more information sessions, “What is eTwinning” • 32% prefer to have school visits from the part of the NSS • 26% requested information sessions for the school administrators – heads, assistant heads of schools and college principals Curriculum Management and eLearning Department Directorate for Quality and Standards in Education Ministry for Education and Employment

Some concluding points… • We have a group of eTwinners who log in frequtenty because they are either running projects or participate in Groups/Learning Events, follow other teachers’ activities online, etc.

Curriculum Management and eLearning Department Directorate for Quality and Standards in Education Ministry for Education and Employment

• In the case of Malta at least, it seems a very small fraction bypass the Desktop and log in directly via the TwinSpace. However we will keep emphasising this point during our training sessions, because it is perhaps the easiest way to become inactive without noticing! Curriculum Management and eLearning Department Directorate for Quality and Standards in Education Ministry for Education and Employment

• Notwithstanding the above…very few respondents were aware of actually how long it takes to become inactive or how to reverse it for that matter. At our eTwinning Helpdesk we have received calls of teachers claiming their partners aren’t finding them on the Desktop…only for us to find out it’s because they are inactive – to which they always react with surprise Curriculum Management and eLearning Department Directorate for Quality and Standards in Education Ministry for Education and Employment

• Teachers increasingly seek more training opportunities to learn about eTwinning. We aim to offer a larger range of seminars, more information about online training opportunities (both our own, and those organised by the CSS or other NSS) and more concrete examples of eTwinning projects in action – which in turn increases eTwinning’s visibility in schools Curriculum Management and eLearning Department Directorate for Quality and Standards in Education Ministry for Education and Employment
