T h e w o rk i s a b o u t c re at i n g c o n n e c t i o n w i t h i t s wearer and merging it with moder n sensibilities.
Amanda Azzahra was born 1989. She studied interior design at Institut Teknologi Bandung, I n d o n e s i a w h e re s h e w a s ex p o s e d t o m a ny f i e l d s o f a r t a n d d e s i g n . L at e r s h e c o n t i n u e d t o s t u d y at t h e re n o w n e d R h o d e I s l a n d S ch o o l o f D e s i g n . H e re s h e b e g a n t o h ave i n t e re s t i n w e a r a b l e a s s h e p u r s u e d i n t e r i o r a rch i t e c t u re. S h e d i s c ov e r e d c r e a t i v e p o s s i b i l i t i e s i n s p a t i a l qualities of large-scale built for ms to be applied in small-scale objects. It was also there she experimented computational design with digital a n d t r a d i t i o n a l f a b r i c at i o n s. ANEMOI is a collection of rings inspired by the mysteri ous nature and the f luidity of the wind. It reim agines the calm a breeze and captures the chaos of a stor m. Like the air in motion, the for m of each piece f lows through the finger s evoking a sentiment of sensing the wind.
T he collection consists of 4 models that are printed in various materials. Each material creates dif ferent characteristics for the model and it gives abroad range of vari eties.
