Open Day Saturday 28 September 2013 Derriford Hospital 10am -2pm #openDerriford

Full programme

Opening Our Doors Welcome along to our Open Day. We hope you enjoy looking around the open areas and getting involved in some of the activities we have laid on.

Did you know that? Derriford Hospital is the largest hospital in the south west peninsula, covering almost 200,000 sq m, spread over 12 levels.

Today, we are opening up some of the areas which we think may be of most interest. We appreciate that this is a big hospital so we have prepared a colour-coded map in the centre of this guide, which shows where the different areas can be found and what is available to see and do in each.

Of course, we continue to care for patients in wards and clinical areas and we would ask you to please respect their privacy and dignity and visit the areas highlighted. We have lots of staff and volunteers on hand to help direct you.

We hope you enjoy finding out more and letting us know what you think about the services that we offer.

If you want to meet myself and my colleagues on the Board, which runs this hospital and other services as part of Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust, please do come along to the Post-Graduate Medical Centre (at the back of the hospital) at 2pm where we will be holding our Annual General Meeting. This will be followed by a Question Time event, at which you can put your question to the Board.

Whatever you do, enjoy your day and please fill in a feedback form and let us know what you think at the end. Ann James, Chief Executive
