DHL Enhances Services by Investing in a DH100 Million Facility New DHL facility in UAE will improve customer experience by increasing the efficiency of sending and receiving shipment via the courier service.

DHL has opened a Dh100 million state-of-the-art facility at Meydan, with the objective to enhance future logistics in UAE and help improve the global connectivity and reach of UAE. “Being located between Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport will definitely benefit our customers by offering even faster pick-up and delivery services. The new facility also offers our employees state of the art utilities as well as recreational and health promoting facilities like the gym and gaming room to make sure our international specialists remain motivated and further maintain DHL’s position as being the best employer in the Middle East,” said Frank-Uwe Ungerer, Country Manager for DHL Express UAE. The new establishment is on an area of 186,000 square feet area, with 100,000 square feet of indoor sorting and loading area and about 50,000 square feet of office space. The indoor space can hold up to 120 courier vans, increasing the accommodation of customer shipments etc. Having such an indoor capacity increases security of the shipments as well as protects it from severe weather conditions. The facility has a conveyer and sorting belt which runs over 2 floors up to 300 meters. The conveyor belt is able to automatically weigh, measure and photograph up to 72,000 shipments a day.
