Jason Berube ‟14 was elected vice president for the Class of 2014 and will provide leadership to events such as Ring Dance, Ring Premiere, and Grad Bash. Jason said, “From the moment that I stepped on campus I knew that I wanted to become involved in the community. tas as counselors for their annual Hokie Camp, a three-day orientation experience for new students. These are highly competitive positions. Learn More Adam Smith ‟13 — an SGA Senator representing the College of Liberal Arts & Human Sciences—was recently elected Speaker of the Senate by his peers.

Brothers are applying for positions on the Student Engineering Council, where the Chapter currently holds three executive positions including Council Chairman, Brian Keller ‟12. “We are very proud of the leadership roles brothers are pursuing across campus.” - Jonathan Ammarati ‟13

Newest Members On February 17th, thirteen new pledges were accepted to the Alpha Phi chapter. With an average GPA of 3.4 and involvement in many areas in and around campus, this is

looking to be a very successful pledge class. They have been hard at work learning the lore, songs, and values of our fraternity as well as getting to know the brothers.

As pledge educator, I am looking forward to making sure this new pledge class will become productive brothers of our fraternity.

Philanthropic Endeavors Special Olympics The Chapter enthusiastically cheered for their Special Olympic athletes at the 20th Special Olympics Basketball Tournament at Cassell Coliseum on February 19. Anchorsplash Delta Gamma‟s Annual Anchorsplash Talent Show in support of “Service for Sight,” with Beta placing 2nd.

Service Projects On 3/19, the undergrads helped a local Boy Scout Troop clear trails at Claytor Lake. A few brothers coach youth soccer and little league baseball. Upcoming Events The two largest campuswide community service projects: the Big Event and Relay for Life.

Formals This year, the Chapter held a successful formal event in Charleston, S.C., and after a day of exploring the historic downtown area or spending time on the beaches with their dates, the brothers gathered at the Wild Dunes Resort for a memorable evening. The brothers also welcomed the newest Beta Sweethearts: Whitney Abraham ‟13, Morgan Barham ‟13 and Marina McGrath ‟14.

Priority Plan During the Keystone Regional Leadership Conference in Philadelphia, Pa., the Chapter Executive Board identified three priorities on which to focus to uphold the standards and improve the overall experience. It is through these priorities that the chapter will continue to succeed.
