Designated endowment funds

Designated Endowment Funds can include achievement awards for chapters who reach success in academic, leadership, citizenship and educational activities. Grants can be used to cover expenses involved with participation at Leadership Seminars and other events sponsored by Alpha Gamma Rho. Qualified recipients of these grants included chapter officers, collegiates, Advisors, Housemothers/House Directors and alumni leaders. Designated Endowment Funds can also be used to purchase technology upgrades for educational activities and scholarships at the university for member and potential members.

Designate To Specific Chapter

Permanent or endowed funds are internally managed and locally directed. They serve a perpetual purpose such as providing scholarships for a chapter, or funding a specific program customized to a chapter’s unique needs.

Designated To Specific Fraternity Program

Fund training tools and programs focus on personal growth, responsibility and leadership of members. Examples of these programs are AGRconnect or the Sayre Fund.

HOW DOES YOUR GIFT SUPPORT ADMINISTRATIVE FEES?

These fees cover activities and services including:

 501(c)(3) IRS tax-exempt status charitable organization registration

 Balancing income/risk portfolio which is professionally managed by AGR’s Investment Committee

 Board governance and oversight

 Charitable state solicitation registrations

 Chapter membership database

 Staffing to provide database support and gift stewardship (receipting, pledge reminders, etc)

2% GIFTING FEE COVERS ACTIVITIES & SERVICES FOR HOUSING INCLUDING:

 Estate gift planning, assistance and services

 Tax attorney & grant agreement drafting ($6-8K value) reduces audit risk

 Consultant references for housing assessments, campaign feasibility study, and campaign consulting

 Fundraising advice, insight and expertise

 501(c)(3) IRS tax exempt status charitable organization

 Charitable state solicitation registrations

 Staffing to provide database support and gift stewardship (recognition, receipting, pledge reminders, etc.)

 Chapter membership list (Database NCOA)

Fund Advisory Committee will establish a fund agreement

INVEST

Make a minimum initial $5k investment, plus $20k in pledges

Grow

Grow your investment to a $25k minimum within five years

Impact

Provides designated scholarships and grants in the following year (Approximately 4% annual payout to provide scholarships)
