WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ENDOWMENT & NON-ENDOWMENT FUNDS?

ENDOWMENT

ENDOWMENT refers to funds that continue in perpetuity meaning the gifts are invested and only the allocated spendable amount can be spent.

NON-ENDOWMENT

NON ENDOWMENT or “Temporarily Restricted” Funds refer to funds where no restriction is placed on the allocated amount of spendable funds.
