Feb. 16, 1942 - May 11, 2018 Peacefully at home on Friday May 11th, 2018. Forever loved and missed by her daughters Deborah Taylor, Sonia Snippe (Robert), sons Jamie and Jeremy. Proud Nanny of Natasha, Taylor, Zachary and Tommy. Will be greatly missed by sister Gladys Barnard (William), brother-in-law Godfrey Smith as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Now returned to the loving arms of her parents Irma and Gordon Dowd. Predeceased by her sister Geraldine Smith. Friends may gather for a Chapel and Graveside Service Thursday May 17th, at 2:30pm, at Beechwood Cemetery. Reception to follow. In memoriam donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation, appreciated.

Thomas Joseph Stafford

Tom passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, in his 98th year at Victoria General Hospital. He was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Audrey (nee McMunn) in 2003. Also predeceased by his sisters, Rita, Patricia and Norah and his daughter Sharon McBride (Keith). He will be greatly missed by his surviving children, Larry (Carol), Dale (Jane), Wayne, Jeanie (Terry), Noreen (Howard), Debbie (Steve), and Jackie (Randy) and his grandchildren, Lori Lynn, Debbie, Paul, Jenn, Krysta, Kelly, Dagny, Steven, Michael, Tess and Abby, and many great grandchildren, all of whom he loved dearly. Tom was born in Perth, Ontario, the only son of Thomas Stafford and Margaret Doyle. He was employed as a foreman in the forestry department at Ontario Hydro in Cobourg for over 30 years. He made many life long friends there. Tom took up the bagpipes in his fifties and enjoyed playing in the Cobourg Legion Pipe Band. He played his pipes for fun after that. Tom and Audrey relocated to Victoria, B.C. in 1989. Their lives in retirement took up a rhythm of frequent family gatherings and outings. Tom also became a self-taught artist and created many works of art for his family and friends. He spent his last years at the Berwick, Royal Oak. He was still meeting new people and maintaining friendships to the end. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

THOMAS, Anne Louise (Ferrier) 1924-2018

Anne Thomas, age 93, passed away peacefully on Tuesday,May 8, 2018 at Trillium Care Community in Kingston. Anne is predeceased by her parents Roy and Elsie Ferrier of Perth. She is survived by her children Bob (Fran), Vicki, and Cam; brother John Ferrier (Beth); sister-in-law Edith Ferrier; as well as two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Anne’s family would like to thank the staff at Trillium Care Community for the loving care they provided for Anne. A special thank you to Anne’s niece, Heather Kelly, who along with her husband Darren, helped Anne in her later years. Funeral services will be held at St George’s Cathedral in Kingston on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 9:30 AM with internment to follow at the Upper Scotch Line Cemetery in Perth. Dear brother of Joan Richard, Gail Herrick and Wayne Snider and brother-in-law of Audrey Snider. Son of the late Harry and Edna (nee Reid) Snider, Warren was also predeceased by siblings: Charlie, Roy, Harry, Glen, Irene Finch and Carol Snider. He is also survived by his former spouses: Lori Victor of Ottawa and Elaine Agnew of Eganville as well as many nieces, nephews and many many good friends. After a brave fight with illness Barrie passed away peacefully at Kingston General Hospital April 26, 2018. Survived by his loving wife Brenda (Langman) dear father Sean (Elisa) and David (Tristan), grandsons Jack and Everett, loving son of Irene Sweeney. Predeceased by his father Hillis and sister Brenda Sweeney Uden (Michael). Buriel took place May 5, 2018 in Kingston.

We the family of the late Jean Paul wish to express our heartfelt thanks to those who came and attended her service, for acts of kindness, sympathy extended, flowers, cards, visits, telephone calls, compassion from friends and neighbours. Also her pallbearers which consisted of her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her nephew. Thanks also to Dr. Drake and all the wonderful staff at Stoneridge Manor in Carleton Place who made her last seven years through their excellent, attentive and dedicated care made it home for her. Thank you to the ones who gave contributions to Hopetown Cemetery and St. Paul’s United Church in Perth. Beloved husband for almost 54 years of Joyce (nee Evans). Dearly loved father of Deborah O’Connor (Daniel) of Pakenham and Brent (Leanne) of Castleford. At the age of 53, Greg died suddenly at the Kemptville District Hospital on Sunday May 13, 2018. He will be sadly missed by his brother Roy (Eleanor) and his sister Sheila Coughler.
