Ignition switch START Throttole trigger lockout
• Use short pulls, 1/2 to 2/3 rope length, when pulling starting rope. • Do not allow the starter handle to snap back against the housing. • Always hold the unit firmly and make sure the cutting blades are free of obstructions before starting.

STARTING COLD ENGINE

WHEN ENGINE IS STARTED, CONFIRM IF THERE IS NOT ANY ABNORMAL VIBRATION OR SOUND. IF THERE IS ABNORMAL VIBRATION OR SOUND, ASK YOUR DEALER TO REPAIR.
Throttle trigger
1. Turn the ignition switch to the START position. Choke lever 2. Move choke control lever up to CLOSED position. CLOSE 3. Push purge bulb 3 to 4 times or until fuel is visible in clear fuel return line. OPEN
Purge bulb 4. Pull starter handle until first firing sound.
Starter handle
5. Move choke control lever down to OPEN position. 6. Restart engine and allow it to warm up.

CUTTER BLADES WILL START MOVING AS ENGINE ATTAINS CLUTCH ENGAGEMENT SPEED.
7. Depress throttle trigger lockout and gradually squeeze throttle trigger.
