ONEONTA – Christopher Fioravanti, 59, of Goshen, N.J., a 1974 OHS graduate who attended his 40th reunion in Oneonta in October and treasured the experience, died Sunday, Nov. 8, 2015. He was born on Jan. 27, 1956, in Goshen, the son of Joseph Fioravanti and Helen Dubar. After OHS, he continued his studies at SUNY Delhi, graduating in 1976. He was the manager for McCrory’s in Horseheads, later transferring to Burlington, N.J., and subsequently served in other locations in New Jersey. In late years, he was a car salesman, most recently for Holman Cadillac. He married Carla Loucks,

which ended in divorce, and later Debbie Bartels. He is survived by his mother, Helen, of Elmira; two brothers, Steve of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, and Michael of Tustin, Calif.; sister Susan of Oceanside,
Calif.; his daughter Tina and son Michael Ryan, and granddaughter Brianna, all of New Jersey; stepmother Shirley Fioravanti of Oneonta; special brotherin-law, Phil Carderio, of Portland, Ore.; several nieces and nephews, special friends Jeff Wiltsie of Oneonta and Neil Diamond of Marlton, N.J.; a special uncle and aunt, Umberto and Pat Fioravanti of Babylon; and their respective four families. He was predeceased by his father, Joseph Fioravanti of Oneonta, a SUNY Delhi professor, and sister, Donna Carderio of Tualatin, Ore. Services were Saturday, Nov. 14, at Bradley Funeral Home, Marlton, N.J.
Bloodnick, 86, who retired to Laurens after a 33 year career with the Long Island Railroad, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015. Martin was born on Nov. 20, 1928, in Ozone Park, the son of late Francis and Margaret Bloodnick (Rydholm). He married Dorothy A. Barratt on Oct. 8, 1950, in Christ the King Catholic Church in Queens. At the age of 17, Martin joined the Navy at the end of World War II and was deployed to Guam in the 151st Seabees as an aviation mechanic. After returning home, he married and he began his employment as a metal worker on the Long Island Railroad. Dr. Cynthia Walton-Leavitt, pastor at the First United Presbyterian Church, officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home.
Donald C. Chamberlain, Jr., 66; City Native Rose To Sears, Roebuck Division Manager ONEONTA – Donald C. Chamberlain, Jr., 66, passed away November 16, 2015 at Fox Hospital. He was born May 31, 1949, in Oneonta, the son of Donald C. and Gertrude Mae (Hebbard) Chamberlain. Donald was a graduate of Oneonta High School. He married Helen Frazier on April 11, 1969, in Oneonta. Donald at one time was as the division manager at Sears & Roebuck. He also was a route driver for Stroehmann Bread, Schwan’s and others. He enjoyed hunting; was an avid reader, especially a good Western; had a collection of coins and beer. Above all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
David F. House, 84; Teacher Was Youngest of 11 ONEONTA – David F. House, 84, a native of Oneonta, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2015, in Sun City West, Ariz. David, the youngest of 11 children of the late Chauncey and Ida House, was born Oct. 10, 1931. David worked for more than 30 years as an elementary school teacher, retiring from the Monroe-Woodbury School District. He is survived by his second wife, Irene Baranowski House, now residing in Sun City West, Ariz. He is also survived by his son, Mark, and his wife, Pam House, and his grandsons, Randall and Logan of Cuddebackville, New York; his brother, Clyde House; his sisters, Anne and her husband, Tony Mongillo, Francis and her husband, Robert Elwood of Oneonta, Breda Snyder of Rhode Island; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Marian Adamiak House. Services will be private at the discretion of the family.

Prior to his move to Laurens, Martin was an active member of the Lindenhurst Fire Department-Chemical & Salvage Division – Company #2 – Sheet 4 serving as Martin J. a volunteer Bloodnick for 31 years with several years as Captain. After his retirement, he and his wife relocated upstate New York and helped to build the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in DeRuyter. Martin enjoyed fishing, hunting and outdoor activities with his children and grandchildren. Martin is survived by his 5 children, Martin Bloodnick and wife, Susie of West Babylon, Karen McGinty and husband, Kevin of Sayville, Denise Weber and husband, William of Schenevus, Edward Bloodnick and wife, Mary of Zionsville, Pa., and Brian Bloodnick and wife,
She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren, Jennifer, Christina, Martin, Melissa, William, Benjamin, John, Andrew, Amy and Stephen; his five great-grandchildren, Gianna, McKayla, Autumn, Jayden and Martin; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 63 years, Dorothy, his parents; his brother, Francis and his sisters, Evelyn, Frances and Patricia. A funeral mass was Tuesday, Nov. 17, at St. Mary’s in Oneonta, with Rev. David Mickiewicz, pastor, officiating. Interment followed at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville. Donations in Martin’s memory may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
