For nearly a century we have continued to adhere to our 212-step manufacturing process because great craftsmanship cannot and should not be rushed. To that end, during upper sewing, our skilled cutters and sewers still create the upper portion of each shoe by hand using time-tested methods, hand-cut pieces of leather and dependable, decades-old sewing machines. This attention to detail and adherence to traditional techniques gives each Allen Edmonds upper the unique combination of personality and quality that has always–and will always–define our shoes.
