Allen Edmonds shoes are so well-made that we can actually return them to like-new condition with our exclusive Recrafting process. Recrafting is far more than simple shoe repair. Using the original manufacturing process, we literally rebuild worn footwear from the bottom up. With six packages to choose from, Recrafting is the perfect way to give new life to old shoes.

Prestige Package – Our Prestige Package is a complete restoration. We begin
by replacing soles, heels, welting, cork footbeds and laces. Next, we completely refinish the uppers, hand-polishing the leather to a vibrant glow. Finally, we add aromatic cedar shoe trees, place shoes in protective shoe bags and include a Premium Polish. The results are nothing short of remarkable. 757 Prestige Package
Standard Package – Standard Recrafting is identical to our Prestige Package.
Shoes are completely refurbished and the results are equally impressive. Here we simply omit the cedar shoe trees, flannel shoe bags and Premium Polish. 752 Standard Package
Refinishing – With Refinishing, we demonstrate the enduring quality of
Allen Edmonds leather in our ability to reinstate its former brilliance. Built-up layers of wax, polish and dye are stripped away. The original color is restored and protective finishes are applied. Finally, we wax and polish shoes to a high shine. 751 Refinishing (New soles are not included.) 758 Casual Comfort Collection® Refinishing Package (Includes new removable footbeds. New soles are not included.)
New Heels – Even in our most basic Recrafting process, minute details matter.
After removing worn heels, we replace them with new leather heel bases and Allen Edmonds rubber top lifts.* Next, we trim the heels, and ink and burnish the edges before returning the shoes with this small, but significant, improvement. 750 New Heels (New soles are not included.) * This process is not available for full rubber sole/heel shoes.
New Heels + Refinishing Package – The New Heels + Refinishing Package combines two of our
most popular Recrafting services. Worn heels will be replaced with new leather heel bases and rubber top lifts.* Then, we put your shoes through our extensive Refinishing process to remove built-up layers of wax and polish and restore the original color to your shoes. Finally, we wax and polish your shoes to a high shine. 761 New Heels + Refinishing Package *This process is not available for full rubber sole/heel shoes.
Honors Collection Golf Shoe Recrafting NEW – All of the golf shoes in the Allen Edmonds
Honors Collection are eligible for our exclusive Recrafting service. In addition, you can convert any Goodyear welted shoe in our line into a golf shoe. Just select the option for “Golf Conversion” on the Recrafting form, send in your shoes for Recrafting, and we’ll add spikes to the sole. See a demonstration video of Allen Edmonds Recrafting at allenedmonds.com/recrafting. Prior work on Allen Edmonds shoes by other cobblers may prevent us from Recrafting a pair of shoes. Due to special construction methods, our driving moccasins, Casual Comfort Collection®, ae by Allen Edmonds Collection and some handsewn and woven styles cannot be Recrafted. Obsolete Vibram® or rubber soles will be replaced with current soles. To properly preserve their unique materials, suede and nubuck shoes will be cleaned rather than refinished.
