WELCOME New Trustees

Dan Lascano

Dan is a Senior Partner of Lomas Capital Management, which he also co-founded. Prior to that he was a Senior Managing Director of Caxton Associates LP and had previously worked at Morgan Stanley as a portfolio manager in the asset management division.

Dan grew up in California and attended the University of California at Berkeley. Dan takes an active interest in educational and humanitarian causes, and is honored to serve on the boards of The Legacy Center of New York and Nick Vujicic’s Life Without Limbs, as well as the Early Steps of New York, which he proudly serves on with Headmaster Trower. Dan and his wife Paula are the parents of three boys. The two oldest boys attend Allen-Stevenson, Noah ’17 and James ’20. Jacob attends Park Avenue Christian.

Amanda Lister

A native of North Carolina, Amanda graduated from Duke University with an AB in Public Policy Studies in 1987. She received an MBA from the Stern School of Business at NYU in 1992, where she was sponsored by her employer for the Executive MBA in Finance. From 1988 to 2000, Amanda worked with ING Group in various area of finance, including corporate lending, distressed real estate investment and executive management in corporate restructuring and acquisitions. She last served as a Managing Director of the firm.

Amanda is an active volunteer both at her children’s schools and various nonprofit organizations. She is the President of the Parents Association at Allen-Stevenson. Amanda is a current member of the Board of Trustees of All Souls School, Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Parents League of New York, a docent at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and a deacon at The Brick Presbyterian Church. Amanda and her husband Tom, Treasurer of the Allen-Stevenson board, have two children. Davis ’15, and Anna is in Class IV at the Nightingale-Bamford School.

Shiuan Wu

Born in Singapore, Shiuan came to the United States to pursue graduate studies. An engineer by training, Shiuan held various engineering and management positions at Texas Instruments and Smith Corona during her business career before retiring to raise a family and pursue various philanthropic interests. Shiuan is an avid sports woman and played collegiate-level sports and ran marathons including Boston and New York. She is also an active supporter and volunteer of local charities including Here's Life Inner City and Hope for New York. At Allen-Stevenson, she served as Library Volunteer, Class Rep, CoChair of the International Festival, Co-Chair of the Book Fair, Vice-President of the PA and most recently President of the PA.

She is a graduate of the National University of Singapore and Boston University.

Shiuan and her husband, Boon Sim, President at Temasek International Holdings, are parents of Daniel, Stephen ’11, Ben ’16 and Serena.
