Matthew Ferraro '97 is now a senior associate at the Washington, DC office of the law firm WilmerHale LLP, where his practice focuses on regulatory law and defense and national security-related legal issues. He was delighted to attend his 20th Allen-Stevenson reunion in New York in April 2017 and to take a tour of A-S for the first time in many years. It was a treat to see so many old friends and fabulous former teachers. Jaison Spain '97 was happy to see so many alumni at the Alumni of Color Gathering, including the Simmons brothers, Derrick '15 and Daniel '18.

Sam Bernstein '09 was named one of Forbes 30 under 30 for 2018. LoftSmart, the company he founded with his business partner Sundeep Kumar, connects student renters to apartment buildings looking to fill leases.

This summer, Michael Duffy '11 was awarded the 2017 SABR Jack Kavanagh Memorial Youth Baseball Research Award. Michael Duffy, a rising senior at Bard College in New York, majoring in American Studies, was selected as the winner in the college division for his paper, "Babe Ruth: Changing Baseball and Changing America." Congratulations Michael!

Brayan Lozano '13 is currently studying Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science at Dartmouth College, and was recently featured in a spotlight about his internship at the Dartmouth Organic Farm. Congrats Brayan!

Heidi Garson was at Carnegie Hall recently and enjoyed seeing one of her students Benjamin Edelson '16, along with Trevor Jensen '16 on stage with the New York Youth Symphony. Harrison Ringel '16 was also there to cheer them on and enjoy some Schumann and Rachmaninoff.

Daniel Simmons '18 recently participated in his first concerto competition at the Manhattan School of Music. He writes, "Even though I didn't win, I feel inspired to do better." Bravo Daniel, we're all very proud!
