Meet the Editorial Board M. Delores Carlito

Delores Carlito is the Head of the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Mervyn H. Sterne Library, Department of Research and Learning. She is also Information Literacy Coordinator and is Liaison to the Department of English. Her research interests are information and metaliteracy, multimodal assignments, information literacy outreach, and mentoring.

Tim Dodge has been employed at Auburn University since 1992. His current position is History and Political Science Librarian in the Research and Instruction Department. Tim held previous positions at the University of New Hampshire library (twice) and Barry University library going back to 1980. He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in History from the University of New Hampshire, an M.L.S. from Columbia University, and a B.A. in History from Swarthmore College. Tim has published four books in History and over a dozen peerreviewed articles in Library Science and History. He has also been active in library associations including the Alabama Library Association (President, 2004-2005), the Alabama Association of College and Research Libraries (President, 2000-2001 and 2008-2009), and the Southeastern Library Association (President, 2019-2020, a two-year term). He has served as a manuscript reviewer for The Southeastern Librarian since 2001. Tim lives in the small town of Camp Hill, Alabama and his interests include vegetable gardening, hiking, and playing boogie woogie piano. Tim has also hosted the Golden Oldies radio program on Auburn University’s WEGL FM 91.1 since 1998.

Charlotte Ford is the Library Director at the University of Montevallo. Her first library job was as a page in a public library in Kentucky when she was a teenager. Since that long-ago time, she has published peer-reviewed articles in a number of library science journals and has worked in libraries or LIS programs in five states, as well as in Colombia and Honduras...but she keeps coming back to Alabama, where she has lived on and off since 1991.
