BE A PACESETTER!

Pacesetters is the donor recognition for clubs and districts. Contributions support Pilot International,and clubs and districts are recognized for participation at these levels. Pacesetter contributions are due at Headquarters by February 1. Pacesetter Clubs are listed in the PI Annual Report, in the Pilot International Convention Program Guidebook and are recognized at District Conventions.

Pacesetter Club Designations • •

Pacesetter Club - contributes $10 per member to Pilot International during a fiscal year Crystal Club - 5 consecutive years as a Pacesetter Club

Pacesetter District Designations •

Pacesetter District - 100% of clubs in district are Pacesetter Clubs during a fiscal year • Diamond District - 100% of clubs reach Pacesetter status for 5 years Contribution Forms are available for download at the link below.

HONOR A CLUB MEMBER AS YOUR PILOT INTERNATIONAL SWEETHEART

Pilot International Sweethearts are Pilots who exemplify the qualities outlined in Pearl Spark’s Code of Ethics. By nominating a club member for this distinction you are supporting the Pilot International Founders Fund and honoring your club Sweetheart for their dedication and devotion. Nomination includes a $25 donation to Pilot International. The PI Sweetheart Guidelines & Contribution Form and PI Sweetheart certificates can be downloaded from the link below.

It’s that time! Clubs should begin submitting grant applications for special projects and programs for the upcoming year! Please be advised that the Grants Application is currently being revised and will be up on the Founders Fund Documents page of the Pilot International Website by September 6. The deadline has been extended to accommodate this slight delay. • • • • • • •

Postmark grant applications by October 8, 2013 (for mailing to the District Reps) and October 15, 2013 (for District Reps to mail to Headquarters). Remember: only ONE application per club or per district is eligible. Remember to label attachments correctly. Be sure a press release in the correct format is include with your Grant Submission. Complete all of the requirements on the checklist. Contact information for all Grant Committee members can be found in the directory on the Pilot International Website. Due to the overwhelming enthusiasm for the Yellow Rose Project at 2013 PI Convention, PIHQ is pleased to announce that Yellow Rose Project materials will be made available for use at District Conventions in 2014. • Supplies can be ordered directly from PIHQ starting in January, 2014. • PIHQ will provide all materials necessary to run the program at District Conventions, so look for more information coming soon on the Pilot International Website. • The only cost to district will be for return postage of any unused supplies. • Please note that all monies raised will benefit the Pilot International Founders Fund. The Yellow Rose Project cannot be used to fund local or district projects. Yellow Rose Project Postcards are also available for sale in sets of 5. These will make wonderful birthday gifts, thank-you notes or tokens of appreciation THE for members of your clubs or local partners. Celebrate your PI Sweetheart on the PI Headquarters Facebook page, and remember to send a press release to local news outlets or host an event in their honor.
