Dear business partner, After the Interzoo 2004 Fair you received the first joint catalogue of the EHEIM Aquatics Group with the three brands EHEIM, mp and JÄGER. Within a short period of time you accepted our idea. We are very pleased that we have found the right answers to the needs and questions of the market. On this basis we have concentrated all our forces and are now presenting to you our assortment. Wherever we can do so, we develop and manufacture our products at our locations in Germany. We are pointing out to this fact in this catalogue for the first time. This note was decided after a visiting customer had asked astonished: “You are still producing all of this yourself?” Our engineers and designers have created a totally new assortment of modern aquariums. But, the technical treat is the new generation of external canister filters EHEIM professional 3e. In these products we combine intelligent technique, easy operation and concrete advantages for the user. Only EHEIM has this to offer. In order to keep it that way, we will continue to seek the best solutions, taking the most difficult approaches. It is only in this way that we will find the right answers in future as well. Your customers often expect more from an aquarium than they realise

“Aquarium“ means “water tank“. More exactly defined, it is a container in which water animals and water plants are kept and observed, which this is basically what your customers want. But as a specialist consultant, you know that this is far from everything. Actually your customers want a lot more. They want an attractive piece of furniture. They want to give their surroundings a interesting yet elegant look. They want convenience. They want safety. And they want a place of calm and serenity to escape from everyday life and dive into another world every now and then. A lot of emotions are involved. The company Müller + Pfleger has specialised in the construction of aquariums and aquarium furniture for decades. A great deal of experience goes into every mp aquarium. The customers’ wishes are paramount and it goes without saying that looks, convenience and safety must be balanced. Therefore mp aquariums are designed and made to fulfil not just technical and practical expectations but also emotional requirements.

All glass tanks provide a clear view; there are no frames or supports in the way. The underwater landscape is not distorted - only high quality, distortion-free float glass is used. The extra thick glass withstands high water pressure. Hidden stabiliser bars give added re-enforcement the top of the tank; this enables full use of the tank volume. Trims and frames are manufactured using the new EHEIM thermo-lamination process. New technology for better aquariums. Hermetic sealing and precise production according to ISO standards and DIN 32622 guarantee maximum safety. The VARILUX hoods with movable light unit, practical service flaps and many other advantages improve convenience and simplify underwater landscape design and maintenance. Last but not least – a wide selection of aquarium and furniture designs with a variety of combination options accommodate every taste and ambience.

Good reasons to own an mp aquarium

Aquarium tank High quality float glass according to DIN 32622 Safety light units, production according to European ISO standards DIN 60598-2-11, protection grade IP67. Hidden cross reinforcements for optimum volume usage. Secure edges on bottom trims and hoods thanks to EHEIM thermolamination process. NEW: Ease-of-use features with bottom drilled tanks to avoid hoses behind the aquarium. Both inlet and outlet to the filter is via the tank bottom. (W1, scubabay, scubacube, SMARAGD, KRISTALL). NEW: A maintenance shaft made of matted mirrors hides outlet hose and cables for the lighting and the heater etc. in a very elegant way. The inlet to the filter is via the tank bottom (W1, scubabay).

Two options with modular flexibility. Function and flexibility in one solution. Whether for breeding or quarantine tanks or simply for the typical, smaller aquarium, internal filters are the best solution. They save space and are extremely flexible. EHEIM offers you or your customers two options here: both feature a modular design and can be extended or shortened. Both can be equipped with different filter media and both are technically superior filters of outstanding quality, with reliable efficiency and guaranteed long service life. Plus – they work extremely quietly.

The new internal filtration solution: aquaball - the completely flexible module system with a ball-shaped pump head The ball is the trick. The round pump head sits in a socket. This enables easy changing of the outflow direction. The flow rate is set by the output regulator and high aeration via the power diffuser. The filter can be easily taken out of its clip for cleaning or changing filter media. The pump head and the individual filter baskets can be taken apart and clipped together again in a jiffy. The filter volume can be increased with the upgrade kit. In the filter baskets, special foam cartridges take care of mechanical-biological water cleansing. In addition, an extra filter box now with a blue filter pad takes care of mechanical/biological fine filtration. Filter baskets as well as the media box can be filled with EHFIAKTIV filter carbon for adsorptive filtration or with SUBSTRATpro for biological water purification. So you have the filter media possibilities of an external filter in an internal filter.

Tried and tested power: PowerLine – the modular filter for maximum efficiency For powerful throughflow and intense oxygen enrichment – PowerLine is exactly the right internal filter for you. With its powerful pump output, it is suitable for aquariums from 100 or 200 litres depending on the model. The air supply is regulated via the diffuser and different outflow fittings (e.g. spray bar) can be connected to the hose connecting supports. Thanks to the modular design, the filter volume can be adjusted and extended with additional modules. The individual modules can be easily taken off for cleaning or replacing the filter media. Two standard foam cartridges are available for mechanical-biological water filtration. Also available is an activated carbon cartridges are available for adsorptive filtration.

Cartridges and pads

I EHEIM filter cartridges for internal filters are made of phenol-free foam materials and offer a large colonisation area. They can be easily changed, and after a short run-in period they provide biological decomposition of harmful pollutants in addition to mechanical water cleaning. In addition specially treated activated carbon cartridges are available which are excellent for adsorptive filtration.

I EHEIM filter pads / foam filter pads Specially structured materials provide outstanding purification. Water permeates them evenly, and coarse particle residues as well as even the finest particle residues are trapped mechanically. After a short run-in period purification bacteria lodge in the special foam material and ensure the intensive, biological decomposition of toxins. In addition, carbon pads has an adsorptive effect: dissolved pollutants are trapped on their surface and thereby removed from the water cycle.

In case you’re looking for new points for an aquarium heater:

You know that fish from tropical and subtropical regions do not feel comfortable at all at room temperatures that are comfortable for us people. That is why exactly adjusted, constant water temperature is very important for your aquarium inhabitants. Before the engineer Eugen Jäger invented the aquarium adjustable heater, there wasn’t any really satisfactory solution for generating the water temperature suitable for the species. And everyone made do with complicated and sometimes odd methods. Some put the aquarium in the sun or next to the radiator or the heater. Obvious ideas often are the best ones. For example the aquarium heating rod. The heating rod is simply hung in the water and heats it. It is true that the principle is still the same as decades ago. But a lot has changed in the meantime. And today the JÄGER adjustable heater is an ultra-modern electronic thermal device with best available technology. Its new jacket of laboratory glass offers real benefits over the competition. But otherwise you still have some excellent selling points. I

The temperature can be precisely adjusted from 18° to 34°C and recalibrated if required. The control accuracy is +/- 0.5° C.

The heat is kept at a constant level. The heating function is indicated by a control lamp.

The heater can be fully immersed, is protected against dry running and is suitable for fresh or marine water.

The glass jacket enlarges the heating surface and ensures optimum even heat emission.

Laboratory glass jacket. This glass was developed for research purposes. Therefore it is free from pollutants that could be released in water. It is resistant to chemical and biological substances. It does not have any fissures and hair cracks through which condensation water can penetrate. And even extreme fluctuations of temperature that can occur when the water is changed do not bother this glass.

You will not find a better sales argument for an aquarium heater.
