Shapes and Their Personalities The Basic Guide for First Grade

Alexa Schneider

Introduction

My name is Alexa Schneider and I am an aspiring elementary school teacher. I am currently attending Indiana University and hope to one day be teaching a first grade class near my hometown. This eBook is intended for the use of teaching first grade students the basics about two dimensional shapes and their properties. This should help set the foundations for future math classes that the students will take. I focused on the standard MA.1.4 2000 - Geometry; more specifically 1.4.2 where it is expected that the students can Identify, describe, compare, sort, and draw triangles, rectangles, squares, and circles by the end of the year. I hope this eBook is useful for your teaching needs. Enjoy!
