How to Do Everything: Adobe InDesign CS4
Summary There’s a lot to learn about color! This chapter covered the swatches gamut (pun intended), from choices for displaying swatches in the Swatches panel, to building and using gradients. Swatches contain information of various types about a particular color, and can be shared, exported, and reused. Swatches can be stored or used as unnamed colors. You can design and store tint and gradient swatches, along with solid colors. The color saga continues in the next chapter. You’ll see how to work with spot color, mixed inks, and how to handle trapping, a technique to prevent gaps in printed content.
