When designing something, I need to control every aspect to make the experience consistent, because I believe everything designed in the space has to reflect the atmosphere and experiences between client’s desire and what I want to deliver.

DESIGN CONCEPT The design is to create an escape from the overpowering aura of Las Vegas where it can be a comfortable paradise in the middle of the Desert by applying nature and organic forms into the spaces.

EARTHSCRAPER ABOUT Earthscraper is an 800-meters deep self-sustainable city on the mining pit that can accommodate all living species (human, animals, fish, trees, and plants). The idea of urban city applied in Earthscraper is logical and beneficial as the power for this development comes from wind, solar, and methane are easy to obtain within this topography. Without any further damage to the pit, Earthscraper is designed by following the framework itself. By applying stable foundation around the slopes to allow buildings to be built above it without concern about landslides.
DESIGN CONCEPT This project represents Earthscraper, an 800-meters deep self-sustainable city on the mining pit that can accommodate all living species (human, animals, fish, trees, and plants) and allow living species to live and interact within the pit while preventing dangerous gases from ore to form acid rain at the same time. With the help of time, the Earthscraper allow surrounding environment outside of the Earthscraper to regenerate and restore the ecosystem around the damaged mining pit.
SELF-SUSTAINABLE CITY SITE INFO Damaged Area
Site
Nearest Village
The mine is located at West Papua, approximately 12.5 kilometers away from the nearest civilization called Banti Village. Due to no access to a land vehicle, air transport being the most effective means of transport. Over the years, the village’s population is decreasing due to the environmental damage caused by gases from the mining pit. Therefore, it’s common for the population to immediately move to another more developed village once they have the fortune. PROBLEM
Mining pit is created by an organization specialized in ore mining and decided to not be responsible for the impacts towards the land and environment surrounding the pit. Steepening of slopes related to mining activities, as well as frequent heavy rainfall have resulted in landslides within the open pit mine. Also, this causes the gases from the ore to evaporate and create acid rains which over time it destroys the forest and ecosystem. Moreover, the acid rains cornering the resident to live far away from the pit which creates overpopulation. 18

BRONX ABOUT
BEER GARDEN
Bronx is an one-story beer garden with a total area of ±1800 m^2 for “D’Green City located in Tanjung Pinang, Indonesia.
SITE INFO Jalan Raya Dompak is a developing area that spreading from the heart of Tanjung Pinang City located in Bintan Island, Indonesia.
Bronx is designed to emphasize the combination of modern industrial style and fine art work interiors as well as the exterior.
The main attraction in that area is the Shopping mall. Moreover, currently there are many houses and retails being built which predicted will be one of the most populated area in Bintan Island.
DESIGN CONCEPT Inspired by Industrial Style by designing a warehouse looking building with high ceiling and exposing brick, concrete, beams, and pipes. Adding squared transparent glasses to the side walls to create the feeling of interaction between indoor and outdoor space. The center of indoor will have skylight decorated with pipe and industrial lighting around the skylight. Also, the wall will use black paint to reduce light reflectiveness so the exposed industrial materials (mostly shiny silver) can shine with the help of interior’s light. Moreover, the wall will have custom decoration inspired ETH Zurich Brick and Voronoi Diagram.

EXTERIOR RENOVATION SITE INFO M residence is located in house complex, 7 Kilometers away from the heart of city. All of the houses along the complex is identical, however, client is free to renovate without changing the building initial structure.
DESIGN CONCEPT Inspired by Organic and Sculptural Modern style by mainly using stones tiles and paint. The stone tiles applied for lower level and use paint to match the stone tiles colors. This is to create color harmony between applied materials. There will be entrance roof and pergola on the outdoor. The entrance roof will provide 6 ceiling lamps and the pergola will use rectangle-shape glass as it allow sunlight to pass through it.
Due to the bad weather occurs at that location, about 2 years after the property was built, the paint started to peel off and looks old.
