Recovery Position

BY MR JORGE SUASTEGUI

In Floresta we aim for our students to broaden their knowledge as much as they can while doing projects which will help them react in the best way possible whenever they face a real-life situation. That’s why the students of 2nd grade were in charge of making a video regarding first aid. Their videos show how to put somebody in the recovery position to help them breathe when they are unconscious. The process goes something like this:

1. - First, you put the arm near you at a right angle.

2. - Secondly, you move the other arm, with the back of their hand against their cheek.

3. - Next, you take the knee furthest from you and pull it up until the foot is flat on the floor.

4. - And then you pull the knee towards you and position the leg at a right angle.

5. - Finally, you make sure the airway remains open by gently moving the head back and lifting the chin.

Thanks to our students for all the effort they put in for this assignment!
