The Best of us
Since most of our jobs are online, I’ve started to paint again. I’m still not quite as good as you but I’m working on it. I miss all the childhood stories you used tell, the ones where you went on adventures with your cousins and how you climbed that mountain. Even though we can’t do all those things today, I believe that the pandemic in some ways has made us stronger. No matter all the challenges and adversities we faced, we have grown and were able to stand together in unity and overcome the pandemic.
I don’t think things will ever be the same again and even though we may have stumbled upon a seemingly better world, they were right. They were right when they said the pandemic took away the best of us – because it took away you.
