LETTER TO THE 100 DECORATORS
Our aim The purpose of this operation is to explore the ancient theme of the porcelain vase, by working in particular on its surface design. Our vase will be one only, with a lid, and it will be designed by Alessandro Mendini. We are asking 100 designers from all parts of the world to design their own surface decoration on this vase.
The designers 100 designers have been selected worldwide. They represent different areas of creativity: architects, designers, graphic de‑ signers, artists, fashion designers and other creative people belonging to alternative cultures.
The expressive theme The expressive theme is not indicated: we want to receive a “visual story� of each single designer. The vase on which the 100 designers are asked to create their decoration is that of the enclosed drawing.
