Lowering devices require fewer luminaires to light an area than when shorter poles are used. The result is less connected load for energy savings and fewer poles within a given space to increase safety for motorists and maintenance personnel. The luminaires can be lowered to the ground for normal relamping, eliminating the need for lift vehicles or contract maintenance fees.
